Growing Tips: Plant in full sun for best flowering; light afternoon shade is acceptable in hotter climates. Keep soil consistently moist but well-drained—avoid soggy conditions. Fertilize lightly with a balanced fertilizer in early spring; overfeeding may reduce blooms. After flowering, allow foliage to die back naturally to nourish next year’s growth. In late fall or early spring, cut back dead leaves to tidy up the plant. In colder zones, apply mulch in late fall to protect corms over winter.
