Double Play® Princess™ Spirea (Spiraea japonica ‘FARROWSJKO’) refines the classic “Little Princess” form with tighter growth and stronger flower color. From late spring into early summer, rounded clusters of clear, deep pink blooms sit at the tips of nearly every stem. Fresh green foliage provides a clean backdrop and maintains a uniform look through the season. Mature plants reach 18 to 36 inches tall and wide, making this an easy fit at the front of a border or along a walkway. Water consistently during the first growing season so roots establish deeply, then irrigate only during prolonged dry periods. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release shrub fertilizer if soils are poor, but avoid overfeeding, which can reduce flowering.rThis spirea blooms on new wood.
