Hymenocallis durangoensis

Hymenocallis durangoensis is another of the wonderful garden worthy North American native spider lilies, that are sadly, rarely grown. Hymenocallis durangoensis hails from Durango, Mexico, where it forms 2′ tall clumps of narrow, very upright, glossy green leaves. The clumps are adorned with spikes of fragrant, white, star-shaped flowers that emerge for us around early June. Full to part sun and moist soils are best.
