Soft Rush Grass

Juncus effusus, or Soft Rush as it is commonly known, is a wetland plant that is loved by wildlife. Growing to around two feet high, Soft Rush develops tall green stems that are perfect for adding architectural form and height around ponds or bogs. In midsummer, small golden flowers appear at the top of the stems and if left, provide valuable food for the birds in the fall. rSuitable for growing in zones 2 to 9 and native to North America, Soft Rush develops clumps over time. Along with wetlands and ponds, this evergreen is perfect for growing in meadows and rain gardens. Generally, pest-free, Soft Rush can even tolerate some intermittent dry conditions if necessary. rSoft Rush Grass CarerYou can grow Soft Rush in either full or partial sun as long as the ground is moist.
