True Delight Climbing Rose

True Delight Climbing Rose (Rosa ‘True Delight’) dazzles the garden with large, striped blooms that mix sunny yellow and salmon-pink tones in each petal. At 5 to 6 feet tall, its climbing habit allows it to grace fences, trellises, or garden arches with a vivid display of color, complemented by glossy green foliage. Each bloom carries over 25 petals and emits a pronounced, sweet fragrance that drifts through the air. Unlike many other rose varieties, True Delight marries eye-catching color with remarkable disease resistance, giving both new and experienced gardeners a showstopping floral vine they can rely on. Its energetic growth and captivating blooms transform any landscape into a charming retreat.rBeyond its attractive petals and engaging scent, True Delight Climbing Rose proves to be impressively low-maintenance. Originating from advanced breeding programs, it tolerates a variety of climates (hardy in zones 6 through 11) and offers extended flowering throughout the warm seasons. Its vigorous canes handle the demands of an upright or arching position, making it equally suitable for romantic cottage gardens or modern outdoor designs. Use it to adorn a pergola, create a living wall on a terrace, or simply enjoy its swirling, painterly blossoms up close along a garden pathway.rTrue Delight Climbing Rose CarerPlant True Delight Climbing Rose in full sun (at least six hours of direct light daily) to encourage abundant blooming and healthy growth. Provide a deep, well-draining soil enriched with compost or well-rotted manure, and water regularly, especially during the first year of establishment. For continued vigor, feed with a balanced rose fertilizer in spring, again in midsummer, and optionally in early fall if your region allows prolonged growth. A layer of mulch around the base helps retain moisture, moderate soil temperature, and discourage weeds. Because of its disease resistance, you may only need minimal fungicidal treatments; monitor for pests like aphids, but expect fewer issues than traditional rose varieties.rPrune in late winter or early spring by removing dead or damaged canes and shaping as needed to encourage new, flower-bearing growth. Pinching off spent blooms throughout the season can extend the flowering period, though it’s not strictly required if you prefer a more natural habit. If you’re growing True Delight in containers, choose a large and sturdy pot, keeping a close watch on watering and providing a support structure to guide its climbing canes. Overwintering can be aided by insulating the root zone with mulch or moving potted roses to a sheltered area in harsher climates.rTrue Delight Climbing Rose SpacingrWhen planting a row of True Delight as a living screen or climber along a fence, space each rose about 3 to 4 feet apart to give every vine ample room to extend and weave. For mass plantings, maintain this same spacing to achieve a unified, flowering tapestry. If planning to grow it in a container, select one at least 16 to 18 inches wide and deep, allowing enough room for robust root development and stable support for its climbing growth.rrrrrrTrue Delight Climbing Rose InformationrrrrUSDA Hardiness Zones: 6 – 11rrrPlant Type: rrrLight Exposure: Full Sun (At Least 6 Hours Of Direct Sunlight)rrrMature Height: 5 – 6 FeetrrrMature Spread: 2 – 3 FeetrrrSpacing: 3-4 FeetrrrHabit: ClimbingrrrFlower Color(s): Pink, YellowrrrFlower Description: Stripes Of Yellow And Salmon PinkrrrBloom Period: SummerrrrFoliage Type: EvergreenrrrFoliage Color(s): GreenrrrFoliage Description: GreenrrrSeasonal Interest: Summer FloweringrrrWatering: ConsistentrrrResists: DiseaserrrTolerates: HeatrrrAttracts: Bees, Birds, ButterfliesrrrContainer Role: ThrillerrrrUses: Specimen or Focal PointrrrFeatures: Attracts Pollinators, Fragrant, Continuous Blooming or RebloomerrrrBrand: rrrCommon Name: True Delight Climbing Roserrr…
